Course Objective

At the end of this course trainees should be able to demonstrate how to assess a collapsed casualty, perform chest compressions and rescue breathing, operate an automated external defibrillator safely, and place an unconscious breathing casualty in the recovery position.

  • Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
  • Operating an automated external defibrillator safely;
  • Recovery position.

This course is aimed at anyone who requires a course in the safe use of an AED which are becoming more and more common in the community and workplace.
