IOSH managing safely

Course Objective

The aim of this course is to give managers/supervisors an understanding of how to deal with health and safety issues in the workplace, and make them aware of their responsibilities.  It covers all major health and safety issues and provide the right level of knowledge and practical experience needed to manage safely.

The learning content and theme of the course is similar to the current classroom based IOSH Managing Safely training course but is designed in such a way to be successfully delivered via an e-learning platform.
The course content and methodology is designed to facilitate learning and understanding in an engaging and pragmatic way.  The course is multi faceted using the following techniques:
Knowledge learning via written material; links to further reference where required by specific individual needs; reflective learning exercises; practical exercises taking students on step by step processes, for example risk assessments and accident investigations.

Student undertaking the course are encouraged to assess their knowledge and understanding through a variety of media such as quizzes, case studies, mock exam papers and projects with access to online tutor support.
Ultimately we want students to finish the course and pass their exam, pass recommendations onto others to take the course with us, and look forward to doing the refresher course in a few years time.
