Workers health and safety representative

Course Objective

Do I need to have a Workers health and safety representative? 

It is a legal obligation for an employer to designate a person/s to act as Workers’ Health and Safety Representative/s where there is a sufficient number of workers are employed

These representatives must be consulted in advance and in good time by the employer on matters which may affect occupational health and safety.

It should be also noted that failure to appoint a workers health and safety representative could result in a €250 fine under the legal notice 36 of 2012 “administrative fines” regulation, 2012

Participants who will successfully attend this course will gain all the necessary knowledge with regards to the health and safety legislation and understand their responsibility as the workers health and safety representative.
